How safe is my block?
Learn where your block might be vulnerable to crime and how you can reduce the risk.

Thefts from rural blocks has enormous social and economic impacts. It can be costly, disruptive and mentally straining.
So, the best way to avoid becoming a victim of rural crime is to do whatever possible to prevent offending from happening in the first place.
That’s why the innovative “How safe is my block” tool from Neighbourhood Watch NT is invaluable. It lets block residents conduct an audit of their own –to see where vulnerabilities might exist, and helps to think carefully about what crime prevention measures might be implemented to improve safety and security.
For rural communities, it is important to keep an eye out for each other, report crime and suspicious behaviour when it does occur, and prevent crime occurring in the first place by implementing measures on blocks to deter offending.
